This is a custom made cane. The handle is black walnut and the shaft is hard malple. No power tools were used in making this cane.
It started as raw wood and with draw knives, hand planes, and a rasp it was shaped into form. The handle is pegged and shimmed for a strong natural hold with no need for glue or fasteners. The tip of the cane is dipped in rubber so it won’t slip out in use.
