This is a set of hand-carved wooden kitchen utensils with a live-edge base. They are made of solid black walnut taken from a downed tree, which we then turned into these beautiful utensils for your kitchen. We’ve hand rubbed them with a natural beeswax and mineral oil mix for a 100% food-safe finish. As with any wooden kitchen utensil, they will need to have a food-safe finish reapplied as they show wear. This is unavoidable and not a big deal. Don’t let it scare you away from owning a pair of really nice wood utensils. They really are superior and feel great in your hand and in a pan. They won’t scratch your pots and pans, and they look fantastic sitting on your counter. No power tools were used to make these items. They are hand-shaped, scraped, and sanded for a one-of-a-kind, authentic look. No two are exactly alike. They look and feel great and are balanced in your hand. They make a great gift for someone who loves to cook and appreciates high-quality. The unique wedge-shaped base allows the utensils to be fully seen and easily accessible when cooking. It’s much better than jamming them into a jar on your counter. These are made to order, so allow 2-3 weeks for us to make and ship them to you.
