This is a vintage wagon wheel hub turned into a lamp. It’s solid wood, but the kicker is that this was never used on a wagon. So it’s in original condition, accept for mild age deterioration that occurs in wood that’s been sitting for over a century. As far as I can tell, it was a wheel hub that was made for use but never left the shop shelf. A spare if you will. They usually have metal rings on the top and bottom for strength, but since this is a spare they were never put on.
The light shines out all of the spoke holes as well as out the top and bottom as it sits on little riser feet. Because of the spoke holes the shadows it throws out are awesome up against a wall. The bulb can be easily changed out for higher or lower wattage depending on your lighting preference.
It weighs 25lbs so it’s heavy and solid. I love this piece a lot and hate to see it go but I can’t hold onto everything.
It’s 12” wide across the middle, but the top is 8 1/2” across.
It stands 14 1/2” tall.
I get a lot of compliments on this piece and you will too. It’s a great vintage addition to any room.
