This is a hand made bench which features a large live edged walnut slab that waterfalls to seamlessly form one leg. The waterfall leg is secured in place with four oak pegs running through both sections of walnut like stitches. No nails or fasteners were used in making this bench. Just good old fashioned joinery.
The other leg is a reclaimed hand hewn barn beam for an old barn. All of the markings are visible from the craftsmen who raised the barn over a 100 years ago. The mortise and tenon hole as well as the original peg are still intact.
The live edge walnut slab is beautiful and protected with four coats of hard poly to insure that the bench last as long as you want it too. It’s a looker. So this one will get passed on. Plan on it.
